Over the recent years we have made an effort to educate consumers on the olive oil industry fraud. It is what Tom Mueller has well documented in his book "Extra Virginity: The Sublime and Scandalous World of Olive Oil. The fraud not only hurts small family businesses like ours, but more importantly it deceives consumers and is the main reason why unhealthy olive oil finds its way to "75% to 80%, easily” of the US consumers. We are glad that it was aired in 60 Minutes and lots of people got an insight of what is going on.

It is fall season, meaning it is pumpkin carving season. But what do you do with the pumpkin seeds after you carve your pumpkin? Here you will find an easy recipe on how to turn the seeds into an excellent nutritional snack. Pumpkin seeds are an excellent source for vitamins (B and E), minerals (manganese, copper, zinc), mono-unsaturated fatty acids (oleic acid). When you pair it with Olea Gold (an excellent source of mono-unsaturated fatty acids and polyphenols), you get a conentrated source of many health benefits. We suggest to roast the seeds in a single layer for no more than 20 minutes at 170oF to keep the seed fat structure unchanged. Enjoy!!!
